Description

A delightful summer dessert that celebrates fresh nectarines and blueberries in a creamy tart, perfect for gatherings or indulging yourself.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made tart shell
  • 4 ripe nectarines, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the sliced nectarines, blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
  3. Fold the mixture until the fruits are well-coated, being careful not to crush the blueberries.
  4. Pour the fruit medley into the tart shell, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the tart shell a day or two in advance, but the fruit filling is best made the same day. You can also substitute peaches for nectarines or mix in raspberries for added tartness.
