Description

A comforting dish of pasta enveloped in a rich, creamy tomato garlic sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (like fettuccine or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes along with their juices and Italian seasoning. Cook for about five minutes.
  4. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Allow the sauce to simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Taste the sauce and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, ensuring each piece is coated.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.

Notes

You can prepare the sauce a day in advance. Make sure to store it in the refrigerator and reheat gently before combining with pasta.
