Description

A delightful quick bread combining rich chocolate and tart cherries for a moist, tender loaf perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Combine the milk, eggs, and melted butter in a separate bowl and whisk until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently with a spatula until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped cherries until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 55-65 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour. You can also use an air fryer set to 320°F (160°C) for approximately 30-40 minutes.
