A delightful mix of crispy baguette topped with creamy avocado puree and luxurious burrata, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 piece Baguette (whole grain or gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 clove Garlic (optional)
- 2 pieces Avocados (ripe)
- Salt to taste (use sea salt for a gourmet touch)
- Pepper to taste
- 250 g Burrata (can substitute mozzarella)
- 200 g Cherry tomatoes (fresh)
- A handful of fresh Basil (optional)
- 1 tbsp Balsamic glaze or pomegranate syrup (to finish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Slice the baguette diagonally into slices about 2 cm thick. Arrange on the baking tray.
- Brush each slice with olive oil and optionally rub with the garlic clove.
- Toast the baguette slices for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Meanwhile, halve the avocados, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash well with a fork.
- Add salt and pepper to the mashed avocado and mix thoroughly.
- Once the baguette slices are toasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Top each baguette slice generously with the avocado puree.
- Tear the burrata over each slice, allowing the creamy filling to be visible.
- Prepare the cherry tomatoes—quarter or halve them and sprinkle over the bruschetta.
- Finish with fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze or pomegranate syrup.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Avocado puree stays fresh for up to 2 hours in an airtight container; prepare baguette slices before guests arrive.
